Turkmenistan unfolded like a forgotten chapter of the Silk Road vast, surreal, and unapologetically unique. The journey moved between blazing desert horizons and immaculate white-marble cities that felt almost otherworldly in their precision and silence. Ancient Seljuk heritage lingered in ruins and mausoleums, while the modern capital stood in striking contrast, bold and monumental. Roads stretched across the Karakum Desert where emptiness became part of the experience, and nights near the eternal Darvaza crater reminded us that nature here burns, breathes, and refuses to be ignored.
